2017 is off to a fairly rocky start for Microsoft and developer Platinum Games. Just two days ago, the two companies announced they were ending their partnership and ceasing production on the Xbox One exclusive, Scalebound. The dragon-slaying game revealed in 2014 was at the top of many people’s most anticipated Xbox games for 2017, so it is needless to say there were a lot of angry people.
Although the two companies have been fairly quiet regarding the game since Gamescom, no one really expected this announcement. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer went to Twitter to talk about the decision and said canceling it would be better for fans.
