Just a month ago, there was a rumor going around that the first chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake would release this year on PS4. Obviously, nothing has been confirmed by Square Enix one way or the other, but it does serve as a juicy tidbit (or bait) for conspiracy theorists that further pushes the narrative of Square Enix wanting to get the first chapter out in time for the series’ 30th anniversary.

The first chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is supposedly going to release alongside Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, a Remaster of the series’ twelfth installment as the main games that will help the company celebrate the anniversary. On top of that, you’d have to think more content would be on the way for Final Fantasy XV as well.
