Fable II: See the Future – 360 – Review

Fable II was one of the best games released last year on the Xbox 360. The amount of things players could do nearly rivaled another award winning Xbox 360 RPG, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Even with all there was to do in the game, a few months ago a game add-on was released entitled Knothole Island. This add-on gave players new reasons to play the game, and allowed them to continue on this adventure. It was only a matter of time before another add-on was released to bring players back to the world of Albion. This one is called:
See the Future.

After downloading this newest game add-on, players will meet up with the traveling merchant Murgo once again. He has several unique items for sale. The problem is that each item has been cursed and it is up to the players to overcome various new challenges to break the curse of the item and restore it to its natural state once more. Each item offers a unique way to play the game.

Finally different breeds of dogs!

For instance, when players obtain the first item they will find a world that has been stripped of all its colors.
You must find out why that has happened and solve the puzzle and set things right again.
You will also help free a knight of his curse, and this is where the game is most comedic. This is only a taste of two of the missions available on this add-on, and each item offers its own set of challenges players must overcome in order to free the curse of the items.

The most fun is the new Coliseum mission. Players will be thrust into an open area and hordes of enemies cannot use/change any of the items they are holding. As the onslaught of the enemies approaches, will they have enough courage (and life) to stand up against the enemies, or will they fall prey to their malicious intents? If players are able to survive they will gain many glorious prizes that will help them out on their worldly quests.

Great View!

Fable II: See the Future offers more than just new missions to the game,
it also offers many new items for players to experiment with. The best items are four potions that will change the appearance of your canine friend to either: Husky, Dalmatian, or Bloodhound (and one to change him back). There are also new hairstyles, make-up, clothes, expressions, and more
items to obtain.

You will really enjoy the thirteen new achievements that can
be unlocked as you play through this newest add-on, which will add a very nice 250 points to
your gamer score.

Fable II: See the Future costs 560 Microsoft points to purchase.

Review Scoring Details for Fable II: See the Future

Gameplay: 9.5
Fable II: See the Future retains all the fun of the original game, with some new treats. It is always fun to go back into a game and dive back into the characters and see what new trouble players can get themselves into. The new missions are a blast to play and have some really unique ideas that are fun to do.

Graphics: 9.4
Fable II: See the Future still looks great. The art takes on a whole new level with the first mission players have to go through, and they will see the world differently and appreciate the rest of the world of Albion even more. The only complaint that I have is that there is a bit of slow down during the heavy action of the Coliseum.

Sound: 9.6
The voice acting is still great to hear. The sound effects and music are still top notch.

Difficulty: Easy
The missions are not too hard, especially if your characters are leveled up. If it does get too difficult players can always invite a friend to help out via co-op.

Concept: 9.2
The new missions are a blast to play through. Each one is a new take on the game and it will bring up some hilarious results.

Multiplayer: 9.1
Players can still play via co-op in these new missions, which makes it even more fun.

Overall: 9.4
If you are a fan of Fable II then you owe it to yourself to download the latest add-on: See the Future. The new missions are great to play through, and it is exciting to see what the name of the add-on means, and to know that there has to be
additional add-ons coming in the future. Download this today for only 560 Microsoft Points, you will not regret it.
