Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 launching for Wii U in November?

Leaked scans from Nintendo Gamer magazine have revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will release on the Wii U this November.

Nintendo hasn't yet announced a release date for their new Wii U console, instead sticking to a "holiday 2012" release window. Likewise, a Wii U version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has yet to be revealed by publisher Activision.

Nintendo showed off numerous third party titles at E3 last week, but Black Ops 2 wasn't one of them. It's odd that they would leave such a blockbuster title that could provide a boost in sales off of the software show reel. If Black Ops 2 is indeed a launch title for the Wii U, it could sway a lot more people into picking up a Wii U console at launch.

While Black Ops 2 is previewed in the forthcoming issue, no new details are revealed. Obviously, the big question surrounding the game for Wii U is how it will utilize the Wii U's GamePad controller. The magazine hints the Wii U functionality will be "a story for next issue".

DailyJoypad has a scan of the magazine, but screenshots appear to be the same ones from the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC version.

I think we can all agree Nintendo had a mediocre showing at E3. They revealed some solid games for the Wii U,but they failed to really hit the home run needed to convince people to pick-up one of their new consoles. We learned a little about the system itself, like it's support for two GamePads, but the big questions remain as far as specs, pricing, and actual release.

Here's our big question though: would Black Ops 2 sway you into purchasing a Wii U at launch?
