Assassin’s Creed III is a ‘great time’ for newcomers to join the adventure

Although Assassin's Creed III is technically the fifth title in the franchise installment, it's the first true sequel to the second game, introducing a new hero and setting to the game.  For that reason, Ubisoft's UK managing director Rob Cooper says Assassin's Creed III will fit in perfectly with those who will be coming to the series for the first time.

“This is a great time for gamers to join the adventure,” Cooper told MCV. “There’s a huge will from Ubisoft to bring more gamers into this universe."

Assassin’s Creed III is the biggest and most ambitious launch in Ubisoft’s history so we absolutely believe this game will continue to grow the franchise.”

Assassin's Creed III will be set in the latter half of the 18th century (1753-1783 rumored), where we'll see the war between the Templars and the Assassin's escalate as it crosses over to the New World of America during the Revolutionary War.

The game will also introduce a new hero, Connor, a half English and half Mohawk Indian, who dedicates himself to eradicating tyranny and injustice.  Check out all of the details regarding the newest installment to the Assassin's Creed franchise.

"Assassin's Creed III features the franchise's most expansive setting so far, along with an exciting new hero and exponentially more gameplay," promised Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot. "Whether you're a longtime fan of Assassin's Creed or if you're new to the franchise, you're going to be blown away by the scale and marvel of Assassin's Creed III."

Assassin's Creed III has been in development for three years and is the collaborative efforts of seven Ubisoft studios, headed by Ubisoft Montreal.
