Dungeons!
A lot of gamers dream about exploring dungeons.  Other gamers love nothing but
exploring dungeons.  Dungeon Lords should give dungeon fans everywhere an
opportunity to try out another fantasy RPG game.
The developers at E3 were showing off an early version of the game and from
the early demo gamers have a lot to look forward to this year.  The
development team behind Dungeon Lord is composed of
vetern
RPG designers that have worked on other big name
RPGs.  In fact the developers have previously
worked on the Wizardy series, so the game is in
good hands.

The gameplay is a combat
RPG game with real time combat.  This isn’t just a hack
and slash
where you click on a monster to let the computer perform the
attacks.  You have full control over the combat.  The developers were using
the mouse and keyboard to attack and guard during the demo.  The developer was
fighting two goblins in what appeared to be inside of a house.  The developer
was able to block the goblins attack which would lead to an opening in the
goblins attack.

The developers mentioned
that the game will contain up to eight races with control over the development
of the character.  There will be multiple character classes available within
the game as well.  Also, there will be four different schools of magic
available within the game for gamers.  The game even features a pause option
during combat that allows you to make adjustments to your character during
combat.  It was funny looking at the goblins while the developer had the game
paused.  It appeared that the goblins and hero were talking smack to each
other while the game was paused.

The game is presented in
a 3rd person perspective with all of the graphics being extremely
detailed.  The textures of the character models looked great and all of the
characters on the demo looked fantastic.  The developers did
mention that there will be a multiplayer mode.  The
multiplayer mode will be composed of a cooperative play during the single
player missions.  The developers talked about including a Player Vs Player
option as well.

Right now Dungeon Lords
is shaping up to be a fantastic RPG game.  The great graphics and real time
combat were excellent in the E3 demo.  The track history of the development
team is a great asset to the success of the game as well.  Look for the game
later this year.
