Video Marketplace Gets Scary

Earlier this month at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Microsoft and Lionsgate announced a partnership to begin distributing Lionsgate films over the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. Earlier this week, Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb revealed that Xbox Live users in the U.S. can now download over a dozen new movies on Xbox Live, many of which are available in HD, and among others on the list are the first releases from the aforementioned film studio.

Newly released horror films dominate the list, including An American Haunting, The Descent, See No Evil and Wickerman, but with titles like the inebriated comedy Beerfest and global warming documentary An Inconvenient Truth, there’s sure to be a little something for everybody. The list of newly added Video Marketplace content is as follows:

Skyland (Nicktoons) – Season 1, Episode 1 free until Monday 1/29 at 11:59PM PST
