Two More For Guitar Hero III

Neversoft has peeled back the lid on Guitar Hero III just a bit more, revealing two more tracks you’ll be rocking out to this fall. Joining the already announced list of songs for the game, which includes tracks from KISS, Beastie Boys, and Fog Hat, are “Lay Down” from Priestess and Pearl Jam’s “Evenflow”.

“Evenflow” should be immediately recognizable to anyone who’s listened to modern rock radio in the past 15 years, and is a welcome addition to Guitar Hero III (and we wouldn’t mind seeing it again in Rock Band so we could take a crack at imitating Vedder’s signature pipes). “Lay Down” might not be a big deal to those who aren’t into the heavier metals, but it’s a fast and fun song that should be a blast to play. Both are master tracks (i.e. original recordings), which sweetens the deal even more.

This brings the total number of known tracks in Guitar Hero III to 13. The full list thus far is as follows:

  • “Paint It Black” The Rolling Stones
  • “Cherub Rock” Smashing Pumpkins
  • “Sabotage” Beastie Boys
  • “The Metal” Tenacious D
  • “My Name is Jonas” Weezer
  • “Knights of Cydonia” Muse
  • “Rock And Roll All Nite” KISS
  • “School’s Out” Alice Cooper
  • “Slow Ride” Fog Hat
  • “Cult of Personality” Living Colour
  • “Barracuda” Heart
  • “Evenflow” Pearl Jam
  • “Lay Down” Priestess
