Sony Trying To Block PSP Imports

Sony Computer Entertainment has filed writs against UK importers in an effort to stop the flow of PlayStation Portable units into the United Kingdom from Japan and North America. The company will not be taking action against individuals who have bought PSP units from importers, despite earlier reports to the contrary.

In a statement, Sony Computer Entertainment said the following:

Sony Computer Entertainment holds all relevant trademark rights for PSP and Universal Media Disc, and is confident of its trademark position. We will continue to be vigilant and, where necessary, take appropriate action against those unlawfully importing PSPs into Europe.
