Sony Computer Entertainment Japan released a statement today addressing the issue of PSP shortages. The statement says thanks for the strong reception for the PSP, then goes on to admit that although the company has been making its best effort at delivering product, the short supply has caused trouble for many. SCE apologizes deeply and asks for understanding.
No comment is made on future availability of the system. It’s believed that SCE will be able to increase production starting some time in early 2005 leading up to the international release.
