According to Famitsu, Marvelous Interactive has just announced that the Rune Factory series is now coming to the Wii as “Run Factory Frontier.” The game will be heading to the console later this year in Japan, but there has been no word of an international release as of yet.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Rune Factory series, here’s some help. The most recent in the series came out for the DS, Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. It’s pretty much got the same mechanics of any other Harvest Moon game for consoles, with one glaring exception in particular…
Instead of buying animals, players battle monsters. The monsters then befriend players and either assist them in battle or provide food.
For those looking to Amish out while battling monsters, look no further. Rune Factory Frontier hits Japan later this year, Kombo will be sure to bring you news of an American release if it happens. Waggle your Wii-motes at that.
