Rumor: Nintendo Laying Down the Law on DS Flash Cards

Maxconsole has reportedly gotten word that Inspector Jacques Clouseau and his buddies on the French police force have begun seizing the range of flash card products created by Datel for Nintendo’s DS console, with devices such as the Mad Media Dock and Games ‘N Music being sent down the river.

An “insider” claims that the whole doing is a result of Nintendo themselves, who allege that these particular cards contain some form of copyrighted code, and are therefore illegal.

Delving deeper into the case, it’s suspected that perhaps Nintendo is employing every tactic at their disposal to eliminate the competition so that they can release or license their own special brand of DS Flash devices, such as the DS Vision by AM3, which is currently only available in Japan.
