Unfortunately, this news has come in just a little bit late due to my recent absence, but as they say, better late than never.
I just found out earlier that deviantART (that’s how they spell it, so that’s how I spell it) is running a pair of contests in which they’ve teamed up with Square Enix and Capcom. Unfortunately, the Square Enix one, related to The World Ends With You, wraps up tomorrow at midnight. If you’re quick, there’s still time to contribute your own background, hero, villain, or other character for a chance to win one of ten copies of the game, as well as a deviantART prize pack consisting of a six-month subscription, deviantWEAR t-shirt, and Accessory pack. The Grand Prize winner gets all that, plus a written critique of their work from the game’s development team. Follow the link above for more details and official resources.
Fans of Capcom have a little more breathing room, as the Okami contest runs until the 30th of April. Create your own piece, via traditional or digital methods, that is inspired by the Sumi-e artwork in the game, and you can win a copy of the game, a Wii to play it on, and a deviantART prize pack. First runner up loses the Wii, and the second runner up just gets the deviantART pack. Click the link there for the full details and official resources.
Stick with Kombo, and we’ll bring you information on further contests.
