If you think Smash Bros. Brawl has too many modes then you are in for an unpleasant surprise as the Dojo has revealed Spectator mode in hopes to get non-gamers into Smash Brothers as well as provide a little extra fun for veterans.
In this mode, players will be able to watch live matches that are going on over Nintendo WFC. Matches are selected at random and the nick names of the players you are watching will remain hidden.
To make the mode more interesting, players will be able to bet coins on characters as well as collect numerous stickers and “extra prizes.” In the Wi-Fi options players can choose to allow spectators or to decline the service. It is not revealed if having this feature slows down the match starting process.
Masahiro Sakurai leaves this statement about the post in the blog, “To be shocked by impressive play, or to bust a gut laughing at some accident will be quite fun! Perhaps you can use it as reference for your own matches.”
AMN will keep you updated.
