Microsoft sees Rise in Profits despite Issues Plauging 360s

Microsoft has announced their fourth-quarter financial results ended June 30, 2007.

The company saw $13.37 billion during the period, a 13% increase over the same period in 2006. According to estimates provided by Reuters, the results came off slightly better than analyst expectations, which were aimed around $13.27. The positive results come after the company announced it was spending over 1 billion to extend all Xbox 360 warranties for two additional years.

Microsoft has announced it plans on having a profitable Entertainment and Devices division in 2008, bolstered by the upcoming release of Halo 3 for the Xbox 360.
