Well, it’s about time. Metroid Prime, the enhanced version being released as a part of Nintendo’s “New Play Control!” line, finally has a release date.
In Japan, that is.
Normally, Metroid Prime games have hit in America first, typically attributed to the series being more popular here, but it seems this time, Japan gets first dibs while we’re keeping our eyes peeled for any sign of an American release at all. Our affiliates at GameKyo say it will hit Japanese store shelves on February 19th, and is expected to feature not only a Prime 3-esque control scheme, but better textures and perhaps even a 16×9 mode.
Nothing against Pikmin or Mario Tennis, Nintendo, but come on– announce this! Then my mind will be at ease.
