This Friday at 7:10pm, Seattle’s Safeco Field is going to host a game between the Seattle Mariners and the New York Yankees, and Mario is going to be on hand to get fans into the action with a chance to play his latest game, Mario Super Sluggers.
Nintendo will place interactive Wii game kiosks throughout the ballpark, inviting attendees to swing the wireless Wii Remote controller like a bat or make a pitching motion to throw a pitch. This extraordinary new baseball title, which includes more than 40 playable characters from the Nintendo universe, will have the entire family cheering. To heighten the excitement in the stands, nine lucky fans–one randomly selected during each inning–will win a prize package that includes a Wii system and a copy of Mario Super Sluggers. — Press Release
Other goings-on will include Mario throwing out the first pitch of the game (no word on if he’ll use his trademark fireball pitch), teaming up with the Mariner Moose to rev up the hometown crowd, and even a chance to win a Wii and copy of Mario Super Sluggers.
