Capcom has announced a new installment in the Phoenix Wright universe for Japanese gamers, according to Japanese gaming site IT Media.
The game will take place seven years after the last Gyakuten Saiban (the Japanese name for the Phoenix Wright series) and will feature a new lead character, a wet-behind-the-ears lawyer named Housuke Odoroki. However, new lead notwithstanding, the game takes place in the same “universe” as the previous games, so the old judge and prosecutor will be returning to their respective roles.
A new female character will also make an appearance in the game. She is named Minuki, whom also happen to be a magician. Munuki will be Housuke Odorki’s sidekick during the game.
Not many details are available but the game will evidently incorporate a new system for using the stylus. The game is set for release during 2006, but the exact date and price have yet to be announced.
