Take a look at your Nintendo DS. See that slot at the bottom, to the left of the earphone jack? (DS Lite owners may have to remove the dust cover to see this aperture.) That’s the slot for Game Boy Advance games, and Nintendo has just released five more great reasons to make use of that mysterious opening. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Pokemon FireRed, Pokemon LeafGreen, and Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 are all now members of the Player’s Choice line, available for the suggested retail price of $19.99.
A Link to the Past and Super Mario World are remakes of the classic titles initially released for the Super NES, and the two Pokemon games are updated versions of the original Game Boy titles. All four of these games feature additional content, such as A Link to the Past doubling as the Game Boy Advance portion of the multiplayer Four Swords Adventures, and the Pokemon titles including Wireless Adaptor support. Mario Kart: Super Circuit is the excellent portable continuation of the Mario Kart franchise, with classic Super NES courses mixed in with new tracks.
Pokemon fans take note: The upcoming DS games Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Diamond can download characters from the FireRed and LeafGreen versions (by filling both the DS and GBA game slots at the same time), so this is a great opportunity to satisfy that soul-warping Pokemon addiction of yours for a reasonable price.
