E3: Details unveiled about the Battlefront

Star Wars Battlefront, one of Lucas Arts trump cards gives players the opportunity to duke it out in all of the classic Star Wars battles. Gamers can choose to play as a variety of different soldier toyes, take the controls of any vehicle, man any turret they see and conquer the galaxy, one at a time in both single and multi player games. Single player game types will feature: “Instant Action,” “Galactic Conquest” and the story-based “Historical Campaigns” mode that allows players to battle through all the most epic battles throughout the movie series.

The war zones will take place on more then 15 environments across 10 planets including Hoth, Endor and Tatooine, and some of the newer ones such as Kamino and Geonosis. Gamers will duke it out with their enemy of choice with advanced weaponry including blaster rifles, rocket launchers and thermal detonators. Not to mention the nifty ground-based turrets that let players defend an important command center. The four factions availible to play as include: the Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire, Republic Clone Army and Separatist Battle Droids and between factions players can choose from up to 20 different soldier typpes. But what would a Battlefront be without their trusty vehicles? Well Battlefront features 30 ground and air vehicles including the At-STs, X-Wings and even a speeder bike.

But enough about that, most are wondering what type of game is it, is it 1st-person or 3rd-person? Well, the answer is both. If the gamer prefers a first person view on the world then he/she may choose so from an options menu. But for those of you used to the 3rd-person camera then you could use that as well.
