Sony have finally announced details for the rumored PlayStation Plus service at their E3 presser.
As previously-rumored, the service offers free content, PSN Store discounts and exclusive demos.
The service should be available later this month for $50 for a full year, or $30 for 3 months. Gamers get 3 months for free automatically as a free trial.
A controversial feature of the new service will be that the “free” content acquired during membership is only usable during an active subscription period. Will the free stuff be enough to keep people paying? Particularly if they don’t get to keep the stuff they acquire?
