The opening weekend of the DS Lite’s launch in the UK sold through 35,000 units GamesIndustry.biz reported today.
Of course, this number isn’t anything close to a sell-out, but is certainly respectable considering the country has been driving consumer away from stores because of the World Cup. In the UK, the black and white colors of the DS Lites were sold rather evenly, as the sell-through for each of them were split 50% evenly.
In addition, Sony PSP sales were up, as well as the original DS which saw the release of the Nintendogs: Daschund bundle.
We’ll have more updated numbers as they start to trickle in.
