In Salt Lake City, Buena Vista Games today revealed that they will be developing exclusive Nintendo titles in a new studio. Fall Line Studios, the name of the studio, will be focusing on developing these new titles based on Disney characters, television series, movies as well as brand new properties for the DS and Wii.
“This studio will be one of our centers of creative excellence and it gives us the ability to fully capitalize on our properties and expand our market share on Nintendo platforms,” said Graham Hopper of Buena Vista Games. “Scott Novis brings the perfect mix of team building and relevant business experience to the position of studio head for Fall Line Studio.”
Fall Line Studios, part of Avalanche Software, will operate as a new team to design, create, develop, and publish upcoming titles. Avalanche Software has developed such titles like Disney’s Chicken Little.
“It seems like with our brand, the Nintendo platform is a really good place to put our development effort,” said Fall Line head Scott Novis.
More to come.
