The Wii version of Civilization Revolution is getting the Duke Nukem Forever/Starcraft: Ghost treatment, and has been put on indefinite hold. Too bad really, because the Wiimote quite possibly presents the best control option for a console-based strategy title.
“Development for the Wii version of Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution is currently on hold,” 2K Games told IGN. “We are focusing our attention on creating the best possible Civilization experience for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS platforms.”
Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution represents the long-standing and highly addictive series’ first attempt at an exclusively console-based game. As opposed to Civilization’s longtime turn-based approach, Revolution will play in real-time and promises more accessibility, more action, shorter games and – if you aren’t careful – the death of your social life.
