Capcom Delays Dark Void until 2010

Today, Capcom announced that they will be delaying Dark Void until 2010 “in order to get the game out of the crowded fall game season.” I guess I appreciate their honesty but this getting a little ridiculous. It seems there are very few risk takers in this industry. Sure, you have your Halos and Modern Warfares that will dominate this fall but I want a change of pace. I want these new IPs released in time for the holiday season. Oh well. It looks like we are going to have a pretty kick ass 2010. Dark Void joins the ranks of Splinter Cell: Conviction, Bioshock 2, Bayonetta, Singularity, and probably some other titles I’m not remembering as games originally scheduled for the fall that are now delayed until next year.

In Dark Void’s defense, it was originally scheduled for September 22. The same September 22 that Halo 3: ODST is supposed to release on. We all know that no one wants to go up against Halo.
