In most cases, there is really no need to post a news story about a game’s cover art. This is probably because most games use a boring and uninspired image for their cover art that had been floating around the Internet long before it’s release. However, I feel the need to write something about the recently revealed cover art for Borderlands. It’s just that kick ass.
The cover’s art style is totally consistent with that of the game’s. It’s an art style that was revamped half way through development. Originally, the game looked a lot more generic. The guys at Gearbox decided they wanted to do something a bit riskier and, in my opinion, it paid off.
Borderlands drops on October 20th for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
