There’s been plenty of 3DS news out of Nintendo’s event this weekend (like the unbelievable fact that the battery life may be as short as 3 hours in some cases), so we thought it might be helpful to compile some of the highlights here for your viewing pleasure.
The first three videos will give you a lengthy look at the various modes of gameplay in the upcoming Kid Icarus reboot. I never played the original (I was still a sperm when it came out), but this doesn’t look even remotely similar to me. Space Harrier references are apparently all the rage, though.
Next up is a long trailer for Dead or Alive: Dimensions. It looks pretty epic, if you’re into this kind of thing, but I’ll stick with Volleyball, thank you.
Here’s a paltry but welcome 15 seconds of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D gameplay. Keep in mind, this is a separate game from Resident Evil: Revelations. Mercenaries is simply a version of the popular mercenaries game mode from RE 4 and 5, shrunk down and 3D-ified for the new handheld. It’s a coin toss whether to pick it up or simply wait for Revelations, but at least this gameplay looks gorgeous.
Finally, five screens (including the one up top) from the Ocarina of Time remake. They look pretty familiar, but it’s interesting to get a look at what the bottom screen will hold. Spoilers: it’s a map and inventory. It seems even in the age of handheld 3D no one can figure out what to do with the DS’s second screen.

That’s all, folks.
