With Minecraft coming to XBLA, many wondered how the game would play from the PC version. Developer Mojang has confirmed today that the game is setting up to be very different from the game you might have played on the PC.
The Minecraft user interface, or UI, will be be going through a major overhaul to allow the game to work with an Xbox 360 controller. Mojang’s Daniel Kaplan, in an interview with Eurogamer, explained more about the UI change:
“I don’t think we can have the exact same experience because of the lack of a keyboard,” Kaplan continued, “So we’re going to do a complete overhaul of the user interface, and make sure it works on a 360 controller.”
While little is known about how the game will utilize Kinect capabilities, rest assured that Minecraft for XBLA will be a fresh experience from the popular PC version.
