Yesterday Pendleton Ward (@buenothebear) tweeted that a video game adaptation of his popular Adventure Time cartoon was in development. Mathematical!
Since then more details have been announced, including WayForward's involvement as developer. The game is coming to the Nintendo DS sometime this year—not the 3DS, as first suspected.
WayForward Technologies worked on games such as Thor: God of Thunder on the DS, BloodRayne: Betrayal for XBLA and PSN, and the upcoming Silent Hill: Book of Memories.
Adventure Time with Finn and Jake debuted on Cartoon Network in early 2010 and contains regular nods to video game culture.
