Video Gamers Win Money For
Charity

Joystick Junkies have announced
the three games which will be used for the Trueplayerz Tournament – the new
monthly charity gaming event.

There will be three hourly heats
taking place on Burnout 3 on Playstation 2, Halo 2 on Xbox and WarioWare on
Nintendo DS plus there will be some retro classics on the Atari Flashback
console.

For those of you who missed the last
press release amidst E3 madness here you go…

This summer, a new style of event is
offering video games fans the chance to win money for their favourite charities

Titled Trueplayerz and organised by
British video games fashion label Joystick Junkies, the monthly events have
already received support from several major video games companies including
Xbox, Nintendo and Electronic Arts.

The simple concept allows anyone to
turn up, pay 3 to take part and if they win the tournament they get to choose a
recognised charity to receive the total entry fees.

With generous donations of free
games from publishers, gamers will also benefit from loads of great prizes
throughout the day.

The event takes place this Sunday
29th May at The Medicine Bar on Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch, London and
runs from Noon-6pm

In addition, UK members of PMS Clan,
the world’s largest community of girl gamers will be turning up to host the VIP
room and will be taking on all comers in some friendly matches.

Starting midday and running till 6pm
the tournament is open to anyone 18 and over. The daytime tournament is followed
by an after party starting at 7pm. Entry to the Medicine Bar where the
tournament is taking place is free whilst the tournament entry fee is just 3
and the after party is 5.
