TOUR COG HILL EVENT BEGINS TODAY
Microsoft
today announced that the fourth event in the WingspanBank.com Virtual Golf
Association Tour begins today at the online Cog Hill Golf & Country Club.
Participants can sign up today through the last day of the event, next Sunday,
July 9. The VGA Tour offers Links LS 2000 players the highest prize of any
online golf tournament — $100,000 in cash. To participate in this event and
be part of the Virtual Golf Association Tour, players must first register at http://www.zone.com/vga/
. There is no fee to participate in the VGA Tour.
On
March 10, PC golfers began competing in the VGA via Zone.com and Microsoft’s
Links 2000. From the more than 4,000 virtual players across the country
competing online, Paul Willey continues to hold the top position on the VGA
Tour leader board. Players accumulate money board earnings based on their
performances in the monthly tournaments. In October, the top 64 money board
leaders will compete in an online semi-finals tournament. The outcome of this
event will determine the top four players who will win a trip to Hawaii to
compete at the Princeville Hawaii Country Club for the $100,000 grand prize.
To
participate in the VGA, players must be registered and have a copy of Links LS
2000 and the VGA courses. The Links VGA courses are available for download at http://www.zone.com/vga/Tour_download.asp
. The VGA courses are also included in the Links LS 2000 10-Course Pack
enhancement, or are available from EB World (
http://www.ebworld.com ) for a nominal cost.
