Ubisoft Combines Gangsta Rap and
Competitive Racing in Notorious: Die to Drive(tm)

Video games and music converge
for a unique entertainment experience

Los Angeles, USA – May 12, 2004 –
Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, today announced
Notorious: Die to Drive(tm), an urban-style combat racing game. In a unique
combination of urban warfare and car racing, Ubisoft will take players on a wild
ride where they will race against ruthless street crews, eliminating their
opponents and building an empire of cash – with all the action amplified by the
heart thumping beat of various rap artists. Notorious: Die to Drive(tm) will
ship for console game systems at the beginning of 2005.

"Ubisoft has a long history of
making great racing games and we wanted to capitalize on that by bringing
something unique to the genre, which accounts for nearly 20% of the U.S. console
market," said Tony Kee, Vice President of Marketing for Ubisoft Inc. "The killer
soundtrack and mature theme gives Notorious: Die to Drive(tm) the kind of edge
that arcade fans are looking for."

Developed by Ubisoft’s internal
studio, Notorious: Die to Drive(tm) will feature car racing laced with the key
urban elements of power and respect. The game will offer a varied and immersive
reward system where a player can move up in reputation, wealth and power,
bringing the finest bling and millionaire cribs to the notorious few who can
survive this dangerous game. Players will be able to select from more than 30
unique vehicles ranging from vintage roadsters to modern cars in a quest to rule
the streets of four West Coast neighborhoods. With more than 20 weapons,
including an array of pistols, machine guns, shotguns and Molotov Cocktails,
players can blaze through more than 45 stages and seven game modes in their
quest to become notorious.

Notorious: Die to Drive(tm) will be
unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles May 12th – 14th.
