Evernight is a Web-based massively
multiplayer, turn-based strategy game set in the shadowy world of Midia, a realm
beset with supernatural warfare and filled with swarms of fantastical creatures.
Players compete online from any computer at any time, forming alliances or
waging war with hundreds of other tacticians. Evernight challenges strategic and
diplomatic skills in a remarkably atmospheric dark fantasy environment.
Evernight games are turn-based, with the frequency of turns depending on the
occasion and game type; turns range from as often as once every 10 minutes, to
as rarely as once a week. At the beginning of each game all players receive a
starting “homeland” on the game map, and must struggle for survival until they
are defeated or victorious. The goal is the acquisition of land (through
exploration, aggression, or diplomacy) and the elimination of nearby enemies.
