Double Fine boss Tim Schafer spoke with Eurogamer in a recent interview. Schafer, who will be delivering a keynote at the Develop conference in Brighton, discussed humor in his games, his favorite movies and his interest in PSN and XBLA games.
At one point in the interview, Eurogamer asked him his thoughts on Activision CEO Robert Kotick. Let’s just say Schafer said goodbye to any chance of ever grabbing a publishing deal with Activision again. That is, if there was even a chance at this point:
“His obligation is to his shareholders. Well, he doesn’t have to be as much of a dick about it, does he? I think there is a way he can do it without being a total prick. It seems like it would be possible. It’s not something he’s interested in.”
Schafer later went on to say, “I don’t understand why he would want to do that. Hopefully he’ll go back to another industry scene.”
Ouch. Those are some choice words, Schafer.
