THQ Announces Nancy Drew: The
Hidden Staircase

Dust off your magnifying glass, grab
your Nintendo DS stylus and prepare to solve one of most famous Nancy Drew
mysteries of all time! THQ will release Nancy Drew: The Hidden Staircase
exclusively for the Nintendo DS this fall giving gamers and mystery fans the
opportunity to play as Nancy Drew and solve the mystery of the hidden staircase!

Nancy Drew, one of the most
cherished crime solving detectives of all time, continues to provide an engaging
and exciting learning experience for all pre-teens. It’s true, with more than
200 million books sold to date and continued sales at the rate of 1 million
copies per year, the Nancy Drew brand is still a huge phenomenon among girls
8-12 years old. While Nancy Drew has grown beyond the original series, the teen
sleuth brand has expanded to include PC games, which have sold more than 3
million units to date. Now, THQ is making it easier than ever for young sleuths
to hone their abilities on the go by utilizing the unique technology of the
Nintendo DS to find the hidden staircase.

In Nancy Drew: The Hidden Staircase,
based on the best-selling book of the same name, would-be mystery solvers will
explore the Twin Elms house like never before. Family heirlooms are disappearing
all over the estate and the residents are counting on Nancy to solve the case.
Using the DS stylus, young detectives will explore the house and interview
people to gather clues. The game hits store shelves nationwide in October 2008.

Game Features Include:

• Interview people and gather clues
using the stylus to uncover the location of the hidden staircase.

• Explore the large and mysterious
Twin Elms house and examine anything that is out of place.

• Earn the top rank of Master
Detective and find the stolen items.
