There’s hope for Halo Reach coming to the Xbox One

Backwards compatibility is a beautiful thing.

Call of Duty games have been absolutely owning the Xbox One backwards compatibility vote, but with Halo 5 inching closer to release, fans of the series can't help but reminisce about the games that brought us to this point in the franchise. Looking back at previous Halo games is a nostalgic ride, that brings us to the Master Chief Collection.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was meant to bring a majority of the Halo games to new standards, but it was riddled with issues and did not include Halo: Reach — regardless it got the job done.

A Halo fan tweeted at Phil Spencer, looking for word on Halo: Reach and whether or not the game could ever make it to the Xbox One as DLC for the Master Chief Collection. Spencer didn't comment on the game coming to The Master Chief Collection, but he did leave hope for fans saying, "I'd like to see it come via backwards compatibility." With Reach being a Microsoft published game, it's a lot more likely that we would see this game come to the Xbox One eventually. Unfortunately, it won't be getting the full remaster that other Halo games recieved.
