The Sims 2 For Macintosh Begins To Arrive In Stores

THE SIMS 2 FOR MACINTOSH BEGINS
TO ARRIVE IN STORES

Aspyr has received word that The Sim
2 for Mac has begun to arrive in stores across North America, earlier then
expected. The title began shipping last week, and has started to appear across
the country. The Sims 2 is expected on all retail shelves nationwide by this
Friday, June 17.

Electronic Arts award-winning and
critically-acclaimed The Sims 2 is the sequel to the best selling The Sims. Fans
were instantly taken with the games advanced gameplay mechanics and endless
creative possibilities. The Sims 2 was developed for the Mac by Aspyr Studios,
Aspyrs internal development team, under license from Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:
ERTS).

In The Sims 2, players pick one of
five aspirations that will take them through an entire lifetime, from the cradle
to the grave. Players will be able to choose from Popularity, Fortune, Family,
Knowledge and Romance which will determine how each Sim will lead their life.
With these aspirations, players can fulfill their Sims wants while avoiding
their worst fears. Every choice that is made has a relevant and dramatic effect
on the life of a Sim. Will players give them a long successful existence or
leave their life in shambles? The possibilities are endless.

Last week, Aspyr released Body Shop
for The Sims 2 as a free download through Macgamefiles –

character-creation tool allows users to create a wide variety of unique Sims by
choosing skin tone, eye color, hairstyle, facial hair, makeup, clothes and more!

The Sims 2 is rated T for Teen
