The System Shock remake has been confirmed for PlayStation 4

System Shock will finally include PS4 in its repertoire.

Nightdive Studios confirms the upcoming remake to 'System Shock' will be available on the Playstation 4.

The studio behind the original 'System Shock' game, Nightdive Studios, recently announced they'd be remaking the action/horror sci-fi adventure, once their goal of $900,000 was met via Kickstarter. As of late, the campaign has garnered over $1 million and is still going strong thanks to the free pre-alpha demo featured to entice potential contributors. The game was initially slated to release on PC and XBox One, but it was just confirmed that 'System Shock' will also be making its way to the Playstation 4.

Return to Citadel Station and confront the horrors unleashed by a malevolent Artificial Intelligence in this complete remake of the genre defining classic from 1994. After 20 years Nightdive Studios is rebuilding System Shock from the ground up with a passionate team of veteran developers.

Although Nightdive's funding tally has more than exceeded their expectations, the campaign is still active until next week, July 28th, so any serious backers still have plenty of time to throw down some funding and experience all the goodies and swag included therein.

System Shock is expected to launch Q4 2017!
