The Division beta extended

Ubisoft grants access to even more on the waitlist

I had the feeling, given the "unprecedented demand," that Ubisoft was going to extend the closed beta for Tom Clancy's The Division. Well, lo and behold, they did just that.

Originally scheduled to end on Monday, February 1st, the closed beta will remain open until Tuesday, February 2nd (12pm CET | 6 am EST | 3 am PST), Ubisoft announced today.

In addition to extending the beta, Ubisoft has invited more players to participate. Remaining players who redeemd a guaranteed access pre-order code were sent invites, as were "as many players on the waitlist as possible." Priority access from the waitlist was granted based on who signed up first.

The beta takes players through some of the "early story-driven missions that establish your foothold in New York," while introducing you to yoru Base of Operation and the PvP-enabled Dark Zone. More importantly, it allows Ubisoft to ensure the game is balanced and that servers are tested for a smooth launch.

"Thank you all for your amazing support!" Ubisoft said.
