Tekken Tag Tournament 2 coming September 2012 to PS3, Xbox 360

Namco Bandai confirmed at their Global Gamers Day event today that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September 2012.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will have a "unique and aggressive" look, a sort of a "new identity" for the Tekken franchise.

At the press event, held in Las Vegas, Namco revealed the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will have 44 characters in the arcade roster, with new characters just for consoles.  New features include a Brazil stage, a Fight Lab mode, and a 1 vs 2 match format.  You will be able to play locally or online.

According to GZ staff member, Lance Liebl, combos in the game "look really natural".

Namco promised "lots of surprises" will be announced at E3 for Tekken Tag Tournament.  In the meantime, all we have is an expected September 2012 release date for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Meanwhile, Namco also unveiled Dragon Ball Z Kinect, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition for PC, and more details about the Star Trek video game.
