RAFAEL, Calif. – April 10, 2001 — Lucas Learning Ltd. announces the release
to manufacturing of Star Wars Super Bombad Racing(tm), the company’s first
console entertainment title for the PlayStation(r)2. Super Bombad Racing will
be on shelves April 25, but is available for pre-order immediately from the
LucasArts Company Store (1-888-LEC-GAMES -or www.lucasarts.com). Super Bombad
Racing provides all the high-speed thrills, daring jumps, and cool gadgets of
kart racing and mixes them into the gravity defying, hyperspace world of Star
Wars. Players compete as one of eight Star Wars characters including Darth
Maul, Yoda, and Boss Nass using more than 25 gadgets and power-ups, including
boosts, shields, and special items that perform differently for each racer.
Each super-speedy racer has a unique personality, vehicle, racing physics, and
animation. The game features nine tracks in single or multiplayer mode,
including the swamps of Naboo, the deserts of Tatooine, and the rooftops of
Coruscant. There are five different game-play modes including Race, Teams,
Challenge, Arena and Race Mirror. #
