Star Wars Episode VII cast announced: Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill are back!

This is either going to be really great, or really awful. Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Kenny Baker (R2D2) — cast members of the original Star Wars trilogy — have all been confirmed as members of the Star Wars: Episode VII cast.

Joining these old timers are newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. Their roles, however, are still unclear. "Lens Flare" is listed as a supporting cast member because, you know, J.J. Abrams. John Williams is also returning as the composer because he's the only composer worth a damn in Hollywood.

"We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII," said director J.J. Abrams. "It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."

Star Wars Episode VII is set to open in movie theaters on December 18, 2015.
