Skyrim Goes Gold: Bethesda Celebrates with Alcohol

After three years of development, Skyrim has finally gone gold, official as of yesterday. Though the English version of the game was surely finished many moons ago so that it could be pressed in time for the November 11th launch, the completion of all twenty differently-languaged versions of the game will finally let Bethesda rest, and let gamers around the world enjoy their labors. As their official blog states:

"We’re pleased to announce that after more than three years of hard work, the team at Bethesda Game Studios has completed over 20 versions of Skyrim — across multiple platforms, languages, and countries. That’s right, Skyrim is officially gold!"

The team celebrated by knocking back some sweet, sweet, honey mead, as brewed by developers Kurt Kuhlmann, Ryan Jenkins, and Shane Liesegang. The full photo gallery of their drunken excitement can also be found on Bethesda's blog.
