Shattered Suns To Release on May 30, 2008

The launch date for Shattered Suns, a sci fi
RTS game for PCs, has moved from first quarter of 2008 to May 30, 2008, allowing
time for a more extensive beta testing period.

Clear Crown Studios today announced that the
official release date for Shattered Suns, a science fiction real-time strategy (RTS)
game for PCs, has been moved by 2 months to May 30, 2008. Previously, Shattered
Suns was due to be released by the end of March, 2008. The delay will give Clear
Crown Studios time to offer RTS fans a beta version that will give them a taste
of all the new features added in recent months.

Among the new features that have been added since
the last beta test, the next beta version of Shattered Suns will include a wide
range of weapons with customizable payloads and delivery systems. In addition to
causing explosive damage, weapon payloads will also include many new computer
viruses and jamming devices. Weapon payloads will hit their targets using
delivery systems with guided missiles, plasma charges, beams, pulse signals, or
"autoemitters." Players will also have advanced defenses to protect their space
ships and stations against advanced enemy weaponry.

Aside from new military features, the upcoming
beta release will also include features that add more depth to the traditional
RTS economic challenges. For example, players will be able to create unique
trade networks of supply ships carrying resources between space stations. As new
stations struggle to become self-sufficient, the player can quickly create
supply lines to shift resources from wealthier stations.
