Sandbox Studios Leads in 3rd Party Game Boy Development

FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SANDBOX
STUDIOS ESTABLISHES LEADERSHIP IN THIRD-PARTY GAME BOY DEVELOPMENT

March
8, 2001 SANDBOX STUDIOS CANADA has established itself as a leader in Nintendo
Game Boy game development and is looking for a few great licenses to create
games on any platform. In 2000, Sandbox developed four Game Boy Color games
ESPN NHL Hockey for Konami, The Emperor’s New Groove for Disney and Ubi Soft,
Hoyle Card Games for Sierra, and Frisbee Golf for Vatical and has others in
development now for release in 2001.

Sandbox
has the experience and the proprietary tools to develop games on any platform,
including Game Boy Advance, Xbox, PlayStation 2, Playstation and PC.

Sandbox
is able to turn out quality Game Boy titles because its proprietary tools and
graphics technology reduces development time while not compromising quality.
When Disney needed a game developer to design and develop the Game Boy Color
version of its new movie "The Emperor’s New Groove" and to have it
completed in 90 days in time for the movie’s release, it turned to Sandbox
Studios. "We never doubted that we could do it in that time because we
are that confident in our team and the tools we have created. Disney was blown
away," explains Gary Corriveau, Director of Sandbox Studios Canada.

Sandbox
is adding four more development teams to its Ontario, Canada-based studio, who
will be ready to take on new projects for all platforms, including Game Boy
Advance, Game Boy Color, PlayStation 2, PlayStation and Xbox. Its existing
teams are hard at work on an Xbox game based on the Dreamworks animated film
Shrek for TDK Mediactive that will release at the time of the Xbox launch, as
well as unannounced PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance titles.

Sandbox
will fund the majority of the development costs for new hand-held projects it
takes on in exchange for the license to the game and a higher royalty based on
the retail sales of the title. Game publishers and licensors interested in
signing Sandbox for their upcoming projects should send their requests to [email protected].
