If you've been keeping up with the development of Gaijin Games' Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien (or Bit.Trip Runner 2 as I like to call it because I'm lazy), then you're probably aware that the studio had an early 2012 launch planned for the downloadable game. It looks like that won't be happening anymore, though.
Gaijin told Eurogamer that Runner 2 was going to be pushed back a few months. How long is that exactly? Well, it looks like we won't be getting Runner 2 until November later this year.
Currently, the company is nearing the halfway point in terms of the game's development. According to artist Mike Roush, Runner 2 is just over one-third complete. When you look at it that way, it's easy to understand why the game won't be launching early this year.
Runner 2 is scheduled to launch on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, but gamers can probably expect a Wii U version, as well. "My guess is we will always be with Nintendo," said Roush. "Everyone at Gaijin Games is a Nintendo fanboy, so we will most likely continue that relationship in the future."
