Rockstar has ‘big plans’ for GTA 5 Story Mode DLC in 2014

With 2013 nearly behind us, Rockstar Games has given us a sneak peak at what awaits us in 2014. Though no real details were shared, the developer at least hinted at some new downloadable content coming out next year.

"For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor's action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas," Rockstar said in a blog post today.

On the multiplayer end, Rockstar is also "super excited" for the debut of co-operative Heists. These are still in development and Rockstar is "working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be." Again, no solid information here, but Rockstar promises more detail in the New Year.

Meanwhile, some audio files uncovered in the latest GTA 5 1.06 update hinted at what some of this new content could be. The audio, which featured dialogue from various NPCs, suggested future updates will see the addition of racing for pinks (ownership of a car), the ability to spy on people, an updated camera system, and the opening of a casino.
