GTA San Andreas and two more Rockstar games available on Xbox One backwards compatibility

Three new Rockstar classics

Rockstar has announced that three more titles from their games catalog will be playable on Xbox One game systems via backwards compatibility. The New York City based publisher will make Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Mdnight Club: LA and Table Tennis available to be played on Xbox consoles next Thursday, June 7th.

Rockstar has been prolific in offering their older games on Microsoft’s game console by putting some of their biggest games of past on the backwards compatible list of games. Grand Theft Auto IV, Bully: Scholarship Edition and most recently Red Dead Redemption all have become playable for the enjoyment of players already.

GTA: San Andreas first released 14 years ago on the Playstation 2 and shortly after on the original Xbox. It went on to become one of the highest selling games of the generation, receiving wide critical and commercial acclaim and received several ports throughout the years from the Xbox 360, PS3 to even smartphones and tablets.

Midnight Club: LA is an open-world arcade racing game set in Los Angeles, California and came out on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2008. While not reaching similar fame as Rockstar’s huge GTA franchise, it did release to overall positive reviews.

Probably the least expected title from Rockstar Games, Rockstar Table Tennis is as the name implies a table tennis game. Released in 2006 exclusively for the Xbox 360 it did receive a port for the Nintendo Wii in 2007. Being a niche sports title and being available only on two platforms, Table Tennis stayed relatively under the radar for many, despite receiving positive reviews.

Owners of Xbox One systems will now have the opportunity to replay or experience three more seasoned Rockstar titles for the first time. All three games will be playable for owners of physical games and digital copies and are available to purchase from the Xbox Marketplace digitally from the links below.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – $14,99

Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition – $14,99

Rockstar Table Tennis – $14,99
