Resident Evil’s Milla Jovovich to be the villain in ‘Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen’

Reboots on reboots on reboots.

Back in May, we discovered that Hellboy would be getting another chance at the big screen with a new movie. Unfortunately, this new Hellboy movie will not come from Guillermo del Toro, the man the directed the original films, or Ron Perlman, the guy who played the role of Hellboy. This time, Stranger Things' David Harbour will be taking the role of Hellboy.

The new film, Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, will be aiming to "reboot and relaunch the property." Two actors have been added to the cast list, Milla Jovovich and Ian McShane.

Jovovich, most recently known for her role as Alice in the six part Resident Evil film franchise, will be taking the role of the villain in Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen. On a side note, the Resident Evil film series is already getting a reboot (yes, without Jovovich – so she has some free time).

As for McShane, he will be taking the role of Professor Broom.

Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen doesn’t have a release date yet.
