Power Rangers: New TV commercial all but confirms Rita is the Green Ranger

Just say it already Lionsgate. It's ok, we know

Power Rangers is a month away from release, and is continually getting short, new TV commercials to coat our pallets. The newest commercial, titled "You Five" all but confirms the multiple reports that Rita Repulsa is in fact the Green Ranger.

As we already know, Elizabeth Banks' Rita Repulsa is in possession of the Green Ranger coin. That alone of course does not make her the Green Ranger, as even in the TV series she was the original holder of the Green Ranger's (Tommy) powers with the green flame candle. The rumor that has been circulating is that Rita is the original Green Ranger who defeated Zordon, the original Red Ranger, causing him to be trapped in his interdimensional tube. Her henchman, Goldar, was destroyed in the fight and his essence was turned into matter. Rtia needs gold to 'rebuild' him, and resorts to robbing a Russian bank to obtain it. Her reason for doing so is Goldar's makeup allows him to be the only one capable of infiltrating the force field surrounding the source of the Rangers' powers – the Zeo Crystal.

In this newest commercial, above, we see Rita hovering over Trini in her bed as we did in the original teaser. She asks "Do you know who I am? I was once just like you, full of hope". The only way that this line makes any sense is if Rita was (or even still is) the Green Ranger. The original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers always saw Rita as the villain. This remark clearly indicates she used to be good, and somewhere along the line she broke bad (to the fullest extent of the phrase) and turned on the Rangers.

No one expects Lionsgate to confirm this before the movie releases, but they don't really have to at this point now do they? After all, sometimes the strongest statement is the one which isn't made, and it looks like Lionsgate is doing just that. Let us know what you guys think below.
